Budget file updated

A few years ago I made a post on a blog about a budget file I created in excel. That post once got picked up by Yahoo and saw my site get flooded with traffic. I took the post down when I switched servers but I still see people looking for it every day. So I’ve added it grantgannon.com/lifehacker. Enjoy.

Went fishing south of Montgomery today with Dad. It’s something we haven’t done in ages, so that was great. Managed to catch a few, nothing of any merit though. The funniest part came at the end of the day from a text message. (I have been informed my recollection of the text is incorrect, edited version below)

Me: Only got three small ones, but it was fun.

Me: 3 tiny ones, but it was fun.
Unnamed close female associate: That’s what she said.

So immature.

Arrived at O’Hare Airport at 10:55 a.m., left Birmingham airport at 11:00 p.m.

Continental made me late, miss my flight, worked with me, thanks.

Half complaint, half praise.

Story: I spent an extended weekend in Chicago but needed to be in Montgomery by 6:30 on Monday evening for a banquet. I booked a 12:10 flight out of Chicago, landing in Houston at 2:50 with a connection to Montgomery scheduled to leave at 3:35, landing at 5:15.

The Birmingham ‘International’ Airport

For all it’s drawbacks…long lines, poor parking, awful location, inadequate flight schedule, cramped terminals and lack of food/entertainment. The airport does have one very redeeming quality. Free Wi-Fi. It makes a three-hour wait for a flight not all that bad.
